Moreno Valley Bail Bonds Services

Directly east of Riverside, CA lies Moreno Valley, the county’s second-largest city by population. Riverside and Moreno Valley are closely tied together, both geographically and economically. In the early years of the California Citrus Industry, the Moreno Valley was home to thousands of acres of orange groves, as was much of Riverside and the surrounding areas.

The growth of Moreno Valley as a city can be traced to the Air Force construction of March Field in 1918. World War I was raging and the military needed to train fighter pilots in Moreno Valley. When the war ended, March Field was closed, briefly, but reopened in 1927 and became a full Air Force Base. The presence of the base caused the small communities around the airfield to grow.

During the 1970s and 1980s, the region experienced explosive growth, with the population tripling in number from 1970 to 1984. An economic boom in California grew the need for affordable housing and fueled the growth of small communities like Edgemont, Sunnymead, and Moreno. In 1984, the voters of these smaller communities voted to incorporate as the City of Moreno Valley, with David Horspool as the first mayor.

By 1990, the City of Moreno Valley had again nearly tripled in size, as it became the county’s second-largest city, with a population of 118,000 people. The mid-90s saw a decline in the local economy amid a state-wide economic downturn. During this time, the Air Force Base was downgraded to an Air Reserve Base. Many residents left Moreno Valley in search of work.

The latter part of the 1990s saw the economy in Moreno Valley begin to turn around. By the early 2000s, the cost of living in Los Angeles and Orange County forced workers to seek more affordable housing in Moreno Valley, driving additional growth and expansion.

M For Moreno Valley

At the northwest end of Moreno Valley towers Box Springs Mountain. On the face of the mountain is a large “M” that stands for Moreno Valley. The “M” was privately constructed but was encouraged by the city council as a means of fostering unity among the separate communities that came together to form Moreno Valley. Eagle scouts from Moreno Valley have dedicated several Eagle Scout Projects to the maintenance of the letter, which is entirely maintained by charity.

Climate in Moreno Valley

Like much of Southern California, Moreno Valley enjoys a mild, semi-arid Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and warm winters and very little rain. The warm weather and mild winters make the area ideal for agricultural pursuits, though the lack of available land makes it difficult for farmers to succeed in Moreno Valley.

Moreno Valley Economy

While many residents of Moreno Valley commute to larger metropolitan locations for work, there is a great deal of industry in Moreno Valley, as well. The major employers in Moreno Valley include the march Air Reserve Base, which employs 9,600 people, and Amazon, which employs 7,500 people. Other major employers include Riverside County Regional Medical Center, Moreno Valley Unified School District, Moreno Valley Mall, Kaiser Permanente Community Hospital, the City of Moreno Valley, Moreno Valley College, and Harbor Freight Tools.

Law Enforcement in Moreno Valley

Bail in Moreno Valley

Cash bail has been a part of the US Justice system since before the Revolutionary War. It is a way for individuals accused of a crime to obtain release from jail until their trial can be held. Money is deposited with the court system and will be returned to the bail depositor once the legal proceedings against the defendant have been completed. This process ensures that the defendant will appear for all hearings and trial procedures while allowing him or her the freedom to continue working and building relationships within the community.

Bail Bonds Payment Plans

If you can’t afford the full cost of bail (and most people can’t) then a bail bond agent can be your very best friend. Bail bond companies post a bond with the court in place of bail, taking responsibility for the defendant and promising that if the defendant fails to appear for hearings or proceedings, then the bail bond company will pay the whole amount of bail instead. The fee for this service is typically 10% of the total cost of bail, allowing a defendant to get out of jail for pennies on the dollar.

However, there are times when even 10% of the total cost of bail is more money than a defendant or their family can comfortably come up with. In these cases, Justice Bail Bonds will work with you to design a payment plan that gets your loved one out of jail and back home, while making payments toward the cost of the bail bond. Call (951) 445-4155 today to discuss your situation with a bail bond professional at Justice Bail Bonds.
